Several years ago we hosted notable International artist Javier Murcia in our shop studio. With an interest in figure and head painting I decided to give clay a go. It didn't take long to realize how important sculpting the head/figure was to my painting practice. It also helped that Javier was a master in anatomy; proficient at explaining nuances beyond just the bones and muscles. Four workshops later, I feel that having a better understanding of anatomy has taken my painting to another level.
