The Dye Oxides may be blended with the Universals as well as layered over them. The Dye Oxide Patinas different from the Universal Patinas in that they are transparent colors and they may be added into a traditional patina (as well as layered over).

Universal Patinas may be use on any type of metal as well as the Metal Coatings. They are non-acid, non-reactive, and slightly opaque. They my be blended or layered with each other to achieve different colors. They may be applied over a traditional patina to add or enhance a color. Apply in a hot or cold technique. Reapply to darken the color or burnish back to lighten.

Many of the patinas are variations of old formulas that have been used for years, however, these have been mixed for your convenience. All of these patinas contain acids - most cause rust on iron and steel. Traditional Patinas will vary in color on different metals, there can be a change in color due to humidity, temperature, and the surface preparation, also. 250ml

6 itemsVista Patinas are traditional patinas because they contain chemicals which react with the metal. They contain a base blend of chemicals that produce a beautiful green on bronze, brass, and cooper, or on iron & steel they will create exquisite rust. Added to this traditional base solution are different colored oxides, which will blen with the chemical reaction to form a marbled patina. For example, using the Vista Blackk on bronze would produce a green and black patina - on iron there would be rust and black together. These patinas are not recommended for aluminum. The color will vary with different metals.
